Labor Day Madness

I have to say this Labor Day was one of my favorites. Kristen, Susy, and I decided to throw a party at Kristen's house. Susy brought her huge jumper thing for the kids and we had so much food we probably could have fed like 200 people!! Lots of delicious left overs! We got to Kristen's house and Scott was making home made root beer and the kids as you can tell were AMAZED at the dry ice spilling over.

Kristen I decided is the best cook... she makes the most yummy food from scratch. She made potato salad, broccoli salad, another pasta salad... which were awesome. I made cookies and I think two of them got eaten. And I brought chips which none got opened. Hahaha I am definitely not a cook like Kristen. This was our table before everyone arrived... that was 4 ft sandwich... and we got two 6 footers! So for real when I said we had a lot of food, we did!

The blow up thing was HUGE! So much fun I even slipped in there because I couldn't handle how fun it looked! Neither could the older kids... they were dying waiting there turn to jump.

Tons of people showed up and we all ate so much! Hahaha Belle I was told was going around eating peoples desserts off their plates. So I think she had at least 4 cookies, a popsicle, 2 cup cakes, and a couple other desserts... without me even knowing. I probably need to watch my child a little more closely don't you think?!?  It was so good getting all of our Optometry friends together! We have some awesome friends. I am loving Forest Grove so much. It is interesting a year ago I was totally crying because how sad I thought it was going to be here. But I guess I need to remember to give everything a chance before I judge it! Happy Labor Day!

Pre Halloween Celebration

 So I have a little problem... I love September-December way too much! Like I celebrate each holiday as long as possible. I celebrate Halloween from September-October31st! I celebrate Thanksgiving from November 1st- Thanksgiving Day. Then Christmas from black Friday- December 29th which is  my anniversary!! I don't mess around here. So this last Saturday we started our Halloween celebration!! We went to the library and rented a scary kid movie and checked out like the whole section of Halloween books....

 Then we headed to a cute little park and played for ever... Well Cash and Monkey did. I mostly was by the car putting Belle in time out. She is having a problem lately being a bit sassy to her mother! But once she got it together we all had so much fun running around, playing football, swinging, monkey jumping off the swings with the kids... oh dear, and enjoying the incredibly warm weather.

After the park we headed home and tried to make a sweet tent to watch our movie and read our scary books, it ended up being just a sheet. But at least the kids were impressed! The kids dressed up.. Cash was a skeleton and Belle was a princess. And of course we couldn't go without roasting marshmallows! The kids absolute favorite thing to do!Then we got out the treats... Cash picked Swedish fish and Belle picked sour patch kids. We watched our movie and the kids fell asleep.  We had a lot of fun besides the sassy attitudes here and there... But I can know say Happy Pre-Halloween everyone... and much more to come from our house!

Never in all my life would I think this would happen.... Belle and Cash have been sick like 8 times this summer and I took them to the doctor and she told me that the reason the have had the runs (they have had coughs like crazy as well)  haha sorry so bad is because of all the FRUIT they have been eating... The black berries in our back yard!!! So she told me they need more fats in their diets to get everything back together! WHAT THE EARTH!!!!? So I guess it's waffles and whip cream tonight minus the berries (sad).
