our summer

Obviously this summer so far has been hard but it also has been so awesome! We have done some really fun things in between sickness and having a baby! We went and had a camp fire with some friends before Paige was born. The kids had a blast... they were playing "Hunt" and secret clubhouse. My friend Bre introduced me to the best thing ... Peanut Butter Cup Smore... I can never go back to plain old chocolate again. I almost bit Monkey's head off thinking he ate mine!!! We all had such a good time. Cash had a blast following "Uncle" Scott everywhere. Thanks to Scott we actually had a fire... the other guys were worthless! Haha just kidding.

Kristen invited us to go swimming... which she did all the work. while I stayed dry to be with Paige. I have got to get the kids into swimming lessons. They love to swim and they think they can do it all by themselves. Which is scary cause sometimes they try to take off their floaties. So next summer or even this fall if offered I will make Monkey bite the bullet and spend some money for lessons.

Paige also loves water... Baths are her favorite. I love giving her a bath and watching her smile as the water splashes a bit with every little kick. This last bath was so fun. Paige as I have said before melts my heart. She may be my neediest baby but I am just loving her. Her eyes and Now very chubby checks and thighs are my favorite. Sometimes I just wish I could freeze time.

Paige has been helping me a lot... or laying close by while I get things done and Belle and Cash are slaying dragons as I heard them say this morning. I always put her in the warm laundry while I fold and today she slept close while I started packing for our California trip on Monday... Which I can not even wait for.

Life is very different with three children! I thought one child was hard.... HAHAHA thats funny. Piece of cake one child was! 3 is a whole new ball park for me! Going anywhere is ridiculous, but I do it- I rather not... but I do it! Grocery shopping is by far the hardest by myself! Cash and Belle do so great until the last 20 minutes it feels. Cash starts poking Belle's face and Belle is yelling at me, "Mom... Mom... MOOOOOMMMM!! Cash won't leave me alone... he is poking me... Cash stop, stop it STOOOPP...MOOOOOM!" Cash just laughs and pokes her over and over. I keep getting groceries while trying to get his hands down and telling him he is loosing his penny and also trying to calm Paige as she starts crying because she isn't being held!!! INTERESTING, very interesting! By the end don't ask me how but Paige falls asleep and B and C are laughing because the store people give them a sticker for being buckled up for safety. Where is my sticker for not going insane!!!?

Yes my lovely leg again... this time with my sons hand mark.... Cash is into Slapping me for some reason. I get hit a lot from him and he sits in the corner a lot for doing it. Lately I have come to ignore him because it seems like the only thing that works... Because instead of screaming like Belle in the corner he just cries saying sorry Mama sorry over and over till I can catch a breath. He is getting a bit better now and not hitting as much... especially when Dad is home because no one hits his wife and gets away with it.

I also am finally getting Paige's room set up.... I got some seriously cheap couches and dressers and tried to do them myself. So 10 dollar couch and ottoman I did over. Thanks to Kristen I got some cute decorations. I painted old signs and made a new one saying... "Somethings you see with your eyes... others you see with you heart!" Thanks to Little foots Mom on Land Before Time. The other was a little black pray sign I painted grey and white chevron style. I cut out card board into a P and covered it with old shirts. I think the room looks a lot better than Cash's before room with... a crib mattress on the floor, a ugly couch, a plastic kitchen, and a sweet Michael Jordan poster!!! Sorry Cash... I have combined Cash and Belle's room together and that it looking much better as well... So maybe Cash will feel like I cared for him!!! haha

Through all this madness of pregnancy scares, major non stop sickness, baby being born, viral meningitis, Tests, hospital stays, and finals.... Monkey has seemed to pull off straight sticken A's and he is going to be so mad that I wrote this but I am soooooo impressed and my mind is blown at how he has done it! Straight A's!!! So impressive! His teachers gave him a whole speech at how they can't believe it either... He was seriously blessed this semester! Now he has break this month and we have loved having him home. We all fight for his attention and I love it!!!

Happy 27th Birthday Monkey Part One

Happy Birthday Monkey... Since Monkey's actual birthday was spent in the hospital with Paige we decided we would pretend his birthday was a week later after finals. So August 4, 2012 was Monkey's birthday this year! Of course the same as every year he chose breakfast burritos and chocolate milk for his bday breakfast! The kids and I made breakfast let Daddy sleep in then they woke him up singing and pulled him down stairs to open his presents... a VOLLEY BALL net and a volley Ball (happy bday to me!), clear play membership paid for a year from his parents (thank you!!!!!), cards, songs...etc!

After breakfast the kids planned a show for him... They ran upstairs to get their outfits on and hahaha of course Cash came down in a dress! Snow white to be exact! Good thing it was Monks bday or  Monkey  would have made Cash take it off! So the kids danced and sang for their daddy.
Cash went upstairs to put on a boy outfit and he came down in super women one thinking it was a boys outfit!!! Very close son!

We had such a good morning beside the fact of me trying to finish Monkey's surpirse dinner before they came back from their run. I made Chicken curry... Monkey's favorite and this out of this world Chocolate peanut butter dessert.... very tasty. I ended up spilling coconut milk everywhere, slicing my finger with the tomato paste can, lumpping up the whip cream stuff, burning my hand, and locking Monk and the kids out for like 30 minutes trying to get the disaster of a kitchen picked up! But all was well and we headed to meet some friends at the splash park and to watch the airshow while splashin through the water! My friend Joleane took some incredible pictures of my family there.

Later we got the kids in bed early and had our candle lit bday dinner just us... Paige slept enough to let us actually enjoy each other for a bit!
To end a fun bday we got cozy and ate his dessert and sipped hot chocolate... which next time will be a freezing cup of milk since it was 120 degrees it felt like in our house!!!  This next week we are headed to California to spend time with my parents on their mission. Monk and my Dad share the same bday so we will be doing part 2 of our celebrating there... so to be continued!!!
