Happy 27th Birthday Monkey Part One

Happy Birthday Monkey... Since Monkey's actual birthday was spent in the hospital with Paige we decided we would pretend his birthday was a week later after finals. So August 4, 2012 was Monkey's birthday this year! Of course the same as every year he chose breakfast burritos and chocolate milk for his bday breakfast! The kids and I made breakfast let Daddy sleep in then they woke him up singing and pulled him down stairs to open his presents... a VOLLEY BALL net and a volley Ball (happy bday to me!), clear play membership paid for a year from his parents (thank you!!!!!), cards, songs...etc!

After breakfast the kids planned a show for him... They ran upstairs to get their outfits on and hahaha of course Cash came down in a dress! Snow white to be exact! Good thing it was Monks bday or  Monkey  would have made Cash take it off! So the kids danced and sang for their daddy.
Cash went upstairs to put on a boy outfit and he came down in super women one thinking it was a boys outfit!!! Very close son!

We had such a good morning beside the fact of me trying to finish Monkey's surpirse dinner before they came back from their run. I made Chicken curry... Monkey's favorite and this out of this world Chocolate peanut butter dessert.... very tasty. I ended up spilling coconut milk everywhere, slicing my finger with the tomato paste can, lumpping up the whip cream stuff, burning my hand, and locking Monk and the kids out for like 30 minutes trying to get the disaster of a kitchen picked up! But all was well and we headed to meet some friends at the splash park and to watch the airshow while splashin through the water! My friend Joleane took some incredible pictures of my family there.

Later we got the kids in bed early and had our candle lit bday dinner just us... Paige slept enough to let us actually enjoy each other for a bit!
To end a fun bday we got cozy and ate his dessert and sipped hot chocolate... which next time will be a freezing cup of milk since it was 120 degrees it felt like in our house!!!  This next week we are headed to California to spend time with my parents on their mission. Monk and my Dad share the same bday so we will be doing part 2 of our celebrating there... so to be continued!!!
