Camping!!!

So Jaclyn had the exciting idea to go camping! This would be my first time going camping with my kids- I have not been brave enough yet! But we packed up what looked like a years worth of warm clothing and food and set out to camp. The place Jac choose was incredible. We were right by a little river which was gorgeous! We set up our tents, which mine took seconds thanks to Natalie lending me her instant enormous tent! Then we played around the camp site and sat on a blanket reading spooky books! 

 

Then we did my favorite thing we did a walk around this "out if this world" lake! The moment we got there we spotted a MOOSE! And a huge papa moose laying on the ground! His antlers reached the length of my van it felt like! Jac and I acted like giddy school girls when we saw it- we were so excited. 

The rest of our hike around the Lake was the kids running around exploring the mountain sides, performing songs on rocks, teasing each other and laughing at each other, playing super heroes, and chatting my life away to Jac!

The rest of our trip I got to spend time with Belle, Cash, and Paige while Jensen, Nikson, and Jac took a nap. My kids and I cloud watched! Belle saw a fierce crocodile cloud! Then we played in the river forever and Paige learned to do the downward dog pose! I loved being with them with no distractions! Later we played cards and started a fire... We cooked this awesome chilli Jac made and had cornbread... THEN Dad, Blake, Natalie, Brandon, Tyler, Luke, and Halle came to roast marshmallows and drink my "THIS IS WAYYYY TOO CHOCOLATY MOM! - LUKE hot chocolate. I am so happy Natalie's fam came. Natalie just makes everything better. I am not kidding she walks into a room and everyone turns happy. She can put a smile on the most grouchy face!

After a while of the bonfire and throwing Paige in my van in a pack in play because she didn't know whether to scream or to howl from exhaustion. Nat's fam left except for Halle who stayed to brave the night with us... It was time for bed and I layered the kids with like 5 layers and wrapped them tightly in the sleeping bags, did the same for me and Monkey and I went to the tent with Belle, Cash, and Halle. Monkey slept in the car with Paige! Hahaha sorry Monkey! Anyways I lay down and I am on a root! Oh well I can sleep with my back half in the air no problem. Then an hour passes and I am chilled to the bone! I start shivering like mad! I can't get warm... Halle all of a sudden Pops up and says "WHERE'S BELLE??" and falls back down asleep. Then I finally get to sleep and Belle starts Bawling... She hates her sleeping bag so she climbs over everyone and squeezes between Cash and I and I am force to the edge of the tent... Belle strips her clothes off cause she is hot!!! Then she finally falls asleep... and I now have the root digging in my hips but can't move so I am eye glued to the top of the tent... then Halle Pops up and says "IT'S HOT" and falls down to sleep! Then I finally fall asleep and Cash starts crying... He wet the tent! Soaked Natalie's sleeping bag. I get him changed into Belle's ripped off clothes give him our sleeping bag... and now I am back up to the tents edge with the root up in every which spot! I decided right then and there!!! I am not camping over night again! Then Halle pops up "WHATS HAPPENING!!!" and falls down asleep! I started laughing and thought WOW....... Then the dew came!!! and since my back was against the tent I got soaked!!! I woke up wet and said everybody out it's time to go!!!

So we got up had breakfast burritos, Monkey looked as bad as I did cause he slept half on and off the back seat of the van!! lol sorry monk, showd the Dad's the beautiful Lake that took us almost 2 hours to walk around the 1st time... Now we walked so fast it was like 20minutes! We went home and we all took a NAP!!! All in all I really did love it!
