Summer Time!

What a month May has already been! Monkey finished his first year of Optometry school. Which he did AMAZING! Am I surprised??? Not really. He worked so hard. I am so proud of him. I can't believe he is going to be a second year. I heard second year is the hardest... But knowing Monkey he is going to do awesome. Now Monkey has May-August off and we are LIVIN IT UP!!! We decided to make this the best summer ever, since he goes year round the rest of school.  The summer has started so wonderfully- Belle has sat through sacrament for the past 5 weeks!! We were so proud of her we asked her what she would like to do to celebrate and she picked to bake cookies and dip them in milk with Mom!! So that is just what we did that Sunday night before bed!
Seriously I am so proud of Belle- She tries so hard to be so good. She cleans her room, puts her clothes away, shares everything with everyone, loves making treats for other people (probably because she knows she'll get to eat some if she suggests it!), She helps Cash do everything. We have had our struggles for well what seems like since she was born. She has the most sassy stubborn attitude! Like she yells her head off and loves to slap and hit and bite and hahah crazy! We have had moments her and I haven't gotten along very well. I seem to be biting my lip all day long- some days. Monkey and I decided she has a split personality! A crazy out of control lady and a sweet, kind, loving, gentle lady! You never know what you are going to get. I hope I am not the only one but I find myself thinking that man I am a awful Mom- I so could've handle that different. I try so hard everyday to be more PATIENT more whatever so I can handle her crazy moments- But I always seem to fail and find myself trying over and over! But I have learned a lot form Belle. Like when I have my "failure" moments she always puts her hand on my face and says, "I'm sorry, It's okay Mama! I love you." or "Mommy you are beautiful- I love you!" I have learned to say sorry. I have learned to forgive a lot easier. It is funny how a little girl who you feels knows nothing- Knows way more than me. I think I am coming to learn what Christ meant when he said we need to become like little children.

Belle and Cash can't put books down- Everywhere they go one of them has a book. Belle loves to read them. It is almost like she can read. She makes up awesome stories that I could honestly listen to all day because they are so entertaining! Cash looks through the books and gasps at all the pictures. He tries to read them to. Everything he sees he will point to and say what it is! I love catching them in the back yard with books. Out in the sunshine just soaking up all the pleasures of life!

(Belle's first flower she ever picked for just me!)
The first thing this summer we wanted to do was go a feed the ducks. We have been so many times to this park- We can't get enough of it. It is so peaceful and simply gorgeous! We enjoy just walking and finding new paths to explore through the woods! The kids always seem different here! There are hardly ever fits thrown, no one is sad, and no yelling! It is wonderful.

Belle and Cash can't seem to stay out of our back yard. It is not big or anything... It is small with a little hill. But for some reason they love it. I always catch them in the funniest outfits going outside. This was one of my favorites. Belle in her tutu and Cash in his diaper. They play all over this little hill. Most the time I am so afraid Belle is going to break her neck... she throws her self down the hill flipping everywhere. I always see her doing somersaults and Cash is always sliding down like a walrus! I totally understand why they love it! Belle said it's her wonderland!

Another "wonderland" is Hagg Lake!! Which we also go to a lot! This time was so fun because the kids both got in the water and didn't want to get out! Every time we would take Cash out he would have a heart attack! "WAWA WAWA WAWA", he would say over and over until we would put him back in it! Monkey tried to teach them how to skip rocks!! Haha Belle loved it and really tried hard to do it! Cash just wanted to eat the rocks. Hagg Lake always reminds me of My Mom, Dad, and sister Tanna! When they came to visit they died at the beauty of this place and we stayed for a long time. So many hilarious things happened here with them- so I can't help but think of them.

(this picture got out of order- But Monk and I both love this picture of the Portland Temple!)

We got bored one day so we decided to go find something new. So we headed towards Tillamook and just drove till we found a sign that said- picnic, camping, forest.. (something like that). So we went down and found the coolest stream that we could walk in. Of course Belle and Monkey had to practice skipping ricks again. We found a sweet spot with sand where the kids played in the sand Monkey and I sat on huge log that was spread across some water! This will probably become another regular place for us!

HAPPY VERY MERRY "UN- BIRTHDAY" PARTY!! We decided to do something different then the regular. So we had a UN-BIRTHDAY party like off of Alice in Wonderland! I made a ice cream cone cake which I was very proud of, decorated the room, and we had to have pizza! Cash had turkey dogs! and we just went crazy! We got the kids dollar store dress up stuff to open as there un-birthday present. Belle loved them- in her solider outfit she said she was "Captain Moroni" and she was fighting for freedom and families!!! Cash hated it! So since Cash wasn't having fun with them Monk and I decided to show him how much fun they really were... Hahah I guess we got a little too into it got cause Belle got mad that we were hogging them! This was so much fun!

Chucky Cheese! We met Monkey's cousins family here! Belle had a lot of fun playing with their little girl! Cash was going everywhere. One minute he was by a ride the next he was by the mouse and the next he was dancing in a crowd of people clapping his hands to "if your happy and you know it!" He was loving life! I can't believe how big he is getting. He is walking everywhere and talking like crazy! Where in the world is my baby?

We went around trying to find something new again and we found the "HIDEOUT".  It is a lake that people come for concerts, fishing, picnics, playing, camping, etc. It was seriously hidden we had to drive down a crazy twisting mountain slope to find it. We pulled up and there were PEACOCKS everywhere. I guess the lady that owns this place loves peacocks so she has like 50 of them just walking around. Of course my kids tried to pet them. We finally got by the lake and we had a net because around the whole Lake were these little salamander swimming frog things. So we caught some and let the kids hold them and put them back. The kids were so excited that we actually caught an animal! We played around the lake then went on there play ground! The tire swing was so fun! We were all laughing so hard! Monkey couldn't look at it- he almost got sick! This was so worth the crazy drive!

Friend tea party! We watched our neighbor Skylar, which happens to be one of Belle's favorite people. What did they want to do... Watch a Barbie movie and play tea party! My little baby is turning into a complete girl! And I love it! Cash was playing on the floor with Mr. Potato head! Which the girls joined him after awhile. I bet Belle and Cash are going to be awesome friends as they grow up. They don't like doing anything without the other.

One thing I love about Forest Grove is we are only an hour from the beach. We go a lot... especially this summer! We go to the beach to get away from it all. The moment we step on the beach seriously everything goes away and we are all just happy. There is a special feeling on the beach that can't be found in to many places! It feels like heaven. We all get so "lovey" as well. Belle is always hugging or kissing us. Cash is laughing constantly. Monkey is not stressed- he has a smile on his face. And I am at peace! I love it! I love taking millions of pictures here to... there is so much that I just want to capture haha cheesy I know but I want to remember these times forever!

Monkey went to the temple and the kids and I went to Deseret Book and back to the temple to walk around while waiting for Monkey. This temple is out of the world beautiful. Talk about PEACE- I wish everyone could experience the sacred peaceful feeling of the temple. Honest there is no other place like it. Not even the beach! This is what life is all about. This is where families can be forever! I am so grateful for the temple and it's goodness! I am so grateful that I got married in the temple. I love whenever Belle sees a picture of the temple she goes, "Mom I'm getting married!" me- "You are?!" Belle- "Yes in the temple!" I know she doesn't get it yet- But to hear her say that without me saying anything... Is a feeling like no other! Belle I am so excited to see you one day getting married in the Temple!

This was one of my favorite things Monkey and I have done so far this summer. Monkey told me to go upstairs for a while. So I did and when he finally came and got me he had a candle light dinner. Italian!! And a note... "The five things I love about you date!!" He wrote a note that had a gift which  led me to a different note which had another something to go with it. Dinner was the first note... second was bubble bath= for being a mom, third was playing cards= how much fun we have together, fourth was a movie= the time we spend together, and fifth was a root beer float= symbolizes all the memories we have created and how sweet I am... haha I don't think he knows me quite yet!!! I was so impressed with this date! I had so much fun. We ate and talked forever. Then we played the card games... crazy 8, old maid, and go fish! Then we had root beer floats and watched Hildalgo the movie he got me on the clear play! Seriously these are my favorite dates... The creative ones at home... I love going out but these are the ones I remember! Thanks Babe! I Love you!

~Happy Beginning of Summer~
