(These pictures got totally out of order!!)
Memorial Day 2011 was such a great day... We all felt like Belle and Cash look the whole day. The whole day I couldn't help but think of the incredible people I know and have known. I was feeling very grateful for all the people I have come to really love. I also kept thinking of some of my family members who have lost their loved ones and I really just wished I could be with them this day or any day at that. I think my whole family just had a silent prayer in our hearts for those all day.
We ended up meeting Monkey's family at the Cascade Locks and we had a big BBQ at a beautiful park called "Robin's Nest". I love when we get to together with the Mullins. My kids light up when they see their grandparents. Belle always runs to both them and never leaves their sides. It was so fun because they haven't seen Cash walk by himself yet so I loved their facial expressions when Cash waddle over to them! Belle spent most of her time roasting hot dogs with grandpa and NOT eating them. Cash spent most his time eating EVERYTHING and walking around holding Grandma Mullins hand! Monkey spent most his time somewhere I have no idea and I spent most my time getting to know UNCLE TOM!!! He is hilarious, I am so bummed he lives in Alaska and we never see him. He carves the most incredible walking canes. He carves them with nothing but a pocket knife. I also loved talking to Monkey's grandma Mary... people use to call her Mamie. Just like my Grandma. She is like 90 some years old and she is walking everywhere and Belle loved being by her as well. Belle was holding her hand and hugging her all day.
We ended up going to see Herman the Sturgeon at Bonneville Dam... It was beautiful... A little rainy but beautiful.
The next day we took the kids to a cemetery and tried to explain why we celebrated Memorial Day... Yeah... not a good idea. Maybe next year they will get it a little more and not want to take all the flowers off of all the graves. So since that didn't work to well we ended up at a park were we had a blast talking to this other family with the same aged kids. We had to drag Belle home kicking a screaming and throwing a complete fit because she wanted to swing and someone else was on it... or actually I have no idea why she flipped but none the less everyone had to go to bed very early that night...
I love this picture of Our Future Missionaries!!!! Rhett about to leave.... Nate in two years... and hopefully Cash in 18 years!
I know this is ridiculous but I keep dressing Cash and Monkey like twins! I know- but I think it is so cute! I am not so sure Monkey likes it too much but I will just keep doing it till he says something! Oh Monkey decided to give Cash his first pop... haha oh dear!
The Mullins Men minus Caleb!
