Granny's Funeral

This last weekend I gratefully got to fly to Colorado (Thanks to Tanna!) and hitch a ride with her to Farmington, New Mexico for my sweet Granny's funeral. What an experience it was... The weekend was filled with so many different emotions. The moment we arrived we went to a park where most my family was already. I can't describe what it was like to see my cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews etc that I haven't seen in like forever. It was such a bitter sweet feeling. I honestly know how hard it is to loose a Grandma, but I couldn't help but feel for my Mom, my aunts, and my uncles who lost their mother. The most special time I felt was when My Mom and her brothers and sisters (seven of them) were saying goodbye to her for the last time on this earth. They all gathered around her and held each other so close. I could feel such an incredible spirit in that room and I don't think there was a dry eye. The funeral was absolutely amazing.
My Granny was buried right next to my Granddad in Kirkland. The eldest son from each family were her pall barriers. It was a beautiful dedication.

I had a hard time watching everyone say goodbye. Especially Taylor my cousin. He was having such a hard time letting her go. Looking at his face broke my heart. I know without a doubt that Granny will be with him often throughout his life.

I am so grateful for this woman. Even though I lived far away from her... every time I saw her it was like I have always had her near. She has taught our family so much... I am so blessed to have her for all eternity.
After the funeral we had a luncheon and just were together as a family... Which when our family gets together it is nothing but happiness and loudness... Which that is all Granny would want... well minus the Loudness!

 Got to love the RED!
This is Taylor's incredible car collection. He wanted to show me so bad and Holy Cow he wasn't lying when he said he had A LOT!

My Dad and Mom came down- their mission is over a short 3 weeks... No!  I loved seeing them with their missionary tags!

Oh and I also loved seeing my favorite little guy... NIKSON! I am in love! He is so good and soooo cute! I love being with him. I could hold him all day.

On our way home Tanna, Jenn, Mike, Luke, and I stop to fill up gas and decided to get some food at the Oasis! Lets just say even though the glass had a nice lip stick smear hahah the food was great! Mike said I am never going to make it in life if I can't get over the small stuff like this glass!! Oh dear I don't think I am going to make it in life! Oh well- I am so blessed that I got to come. I owe a million thank yous to my sister Tanna- She seriously took care of me as she always does. Without her I wouldn't have been able to come and celebrate such a perfect person in everyone's eyes... Granny. Thank you Tanna.
